At the end of October we got together with Daria and Jared to take some maternity photos.
We ended the session assuming it would be another month till we got together again to take some photos of their new baby girl. Boy were we all wrong! Four days later - their little girl was ready to see the world! Here are some of the photos from their newborn session.
Today it snowed for the first time this year in Ottawa. I had some gear in the back seat of my car so we pulled over onto a side street on our way to Pho (the best thing to have on a wintery day) . We were starving so we didn't want to take long. I quickly threw a flash onto a stand and put a bag over it to keep it dry using the elastic from Katriina's hair to keep the bag on. I set the flash up behind Katriina to light the snow and used a low aperture to get the snow to make the snow light up in little balls of out of focus light (Bokeh).
We recently did a family session with a good friend's family in the beautiful Ontario fall colours.
The session was going amazing... but then on our "hay ride" to a second location on their property... these three little wonders were waiting for us on the wagon.
Turns out this wasn't just an ordinary family session but they had an ulterior motive up their sleeve - a baby announcement! Our friends are having a baby and wanted to use this session and our photos to announce it to everyone else on Facebook. Needless to say - we've got the best job in the world. We love being a part of such happy times in people's live.
