Yosemite National Park

If you didn't know this before you know it now; California is experiencing a drought.

Typically Yosemite National Park has plenty of amazing waterfalls and pools brimming with water. When we went there were two measly waterfalls and even those turned into mist before hitting the water below. Regardless it is a stunning place with a lot of explorable nature. We hiked, we swam, we camped, we explored. The highlight of our stay was probably climbing up a rocky hillside in the evening as the sun set and watching the golden light dip behind the hills. We camped for 3 nights here and while it was a little cramped (just because a tent advertises it can hold 6 people doesn't mean it should) it was nice to be under the stars and away from the city for a few days.

There is nothing quite like a dip in freezing cold water below a water fall after hiking in the hot sun all day. The water was uncomfortably cold..but it was an experience.

Baby Zoey!

At the end of October we got together with Daria and Jared to take some maternity photos.

We ended the session assuming it would be another month till we got together again to take some photos of their new baby girl. Boy were we all wrong! Four days later - their little girl was ready to see the world! Here are some of the photos from their newborn session.
