mine

Published - Stylized Abandoned Mine Elopement

While we are finally mid-spring now, we all know this winter seemed to have gone on forever. If you’ve been following our blog posts, you’ll notice this year we decided to really take advantage of that cold white stuff and do some real Canadian photoshoots. We must confess, we really were not hoping for to spring to arrive as we had scheduled the following shoot for the end of March. But boy do we think it was worth it! We teamed up with some other amazing local vendors to bring you the following Ottawa wedding editorial, a winter elopement in the Wallingford Back Mine. Also a HUGE shout out to our models who literally bared their backs in the cold for us!

Teppo & Veera - Mine Engagement

We don't always get a chance to go exploring and find an epic location for photos with our couples, but fortunately we had some engaged friends coming for a visit so we decided it would be sweet to take the time and plan for a pretty cool photo trip. The following photos were taken in an old, abandoned mine on the Quebec side. The size of the cave, the crystal clear ice, the icicles hanging down (and hanging up?) all made for such a great morning enjoying winter.
