Jed & Hannah - Wedding

Being wedding photographers, it's safe to say that we really enjoy weddings. We love being able to be a part of so many couple's days, learning about their relationship together, families and friends. Even though it's really our first day spent together, we are so happy to see them married.

But it's a very different kind of special when you get to photograph a wedding for a great friend. Though it has some complications, like trying to photograph through tears when the groom surprises his bride with a beautiful song mid-ceremony, we were so happy to see (and photograph) Jed and Hannah getting married.

Their wedding was so incredibly full of joy and celebration and all of the photos of tears and laughter below are just a preview of this awesome day.

The MacDonald Family

Don't get confused here. This is not a mere family session. But rather a beautiful spring wedding that included one very touching ceremony (we may have both teared up) that marked the start of a new family for this couple.

We were so happy to be part of this day as Alanna and Russel got married this past May at Lago Bar & Grill, Dow's Lake Pavilion. You learn a lot about a couple when you spend their wedding day with them, and by the sounds of the words from their families and friends, these two are one sweet couple.

During the ceremony, Alanna and Russel included their daughter with an affirmation of their new family; their symbol of this to her was a necklace. Jon was able to snap a few photos when she went back to her seat and showed it off to her fellow flower girls.

Their kissing game brought the couple to new heights, including the traditional Jewish dance, the hora - a dream for the bride, even though it was not a Jewish wedding.

...and the night went on from there!

Victoria & Brandon's Wedding

This couple was hoping for a snowy wedding, but having planned it for the third week in November - they knew it was not something that they could hope too much for. But come that morning it seemed like Someone was on their side - and there came the snow. While the ground wasn't quite covered, we got just the right amount of snow during the portraits to make this even more the day that they had dreamed of.

This was also the first "First Look" we've had the privilege to photograph and closer to the bottom - check out all the awesome details on their sweets table that was a part of their reception. Personalized cookies. Like I said - it was awesome.

Photographs like this basically sum up why weddings are so incredible. Pure joy.
