Mid-Day Portraits with Athena

Most photographers will agree that the best time to take photos is either in the early morning or in the evening when the sun is low. Taking mid day photos in the sun can be difficult because the sun starts to cast unflattering shadows under the eyes and chin giving a 'raccoon' look. We don't  always get to take photos during the best time of the day but we work around it. Check out these photos of our friend Athena. We made use of a few different shady spots and looked for locations where the sun was hitting the subject slightly from behind.

Evening Portraiture

Here are a couple photos taken while doing the timelapse from the last post. The light was beautiful and we had some time to kill so we played around with some off camera flash and different techniques. We even took some fun photos on some expired polaroid film... but that's for a later post.
