As always, we are late on blogging but earlier this year we had a great chance to work on some commercial work for the rebranding of Norde Bridal. Updating their name from The Handmade Bride, they were looking to take some new photos to represent their "new store". You can read more about the design process on Caliya Design Co's blog.
We had the lovely pleasure of attending a Pre-Opening soiree this week at a quaint little store that is opening up in Ottawa (New Edinburgh to be specific). May I present to you, The Handmade Bride.
The idea behind the store is essentially an Etsy shop - that you can see and feel the quality, size etc. of the products you are buying. All handmade lovely goods for the DIY or Indie bride who doesn't feel like actually making EVERYTHING for her wedding by scratch.
They've got a little bit of everything there - jewellery, ties, boutonnieres, fasteners, decorations, and of course - some show stopping, custom bridal gowns. For those who are familiar with Wed By Hand - Ottawa's Indie wedding show - it's something like that, but you don't have to wait for that one day a year that they hold their event.
For you brides who are in to this style, we highly recommend going to check out this shop. These photos are only a teaser of what they have in store and it's always great to support a new, local business venture. They open officially on November 23rd - more info at handmadebride.ca.
