Long Exposure

Star Trail

Middle of the night on Christmas morning (4 am - once the moon had set) I set out to do a long exposure in the field next to my parents’ place. Before I went out I had to prep my camera for Canadian winter - which in this case meant taping a disposable hand-warmer to the body near the battery to keep it from draining in the cold. Set it up in the snow, went back to bed and then went back to retrieve the camera four hours later. Came back to frosty tripod legs but no other harm done.
