No, this post is not talking about Jon's addiction to Kijiji deals. 

It's a technique that's being used amongst photographers that involves taking the lens off of the camera and hand holding it while shifting and tilting it (only a few millimeters!). This essentially makes the lens a hand held tilt-shift lens while also allowing for light leaks between the lens and camera body.

We met up with a good friend of ours who encouraged us to try it out, and so far it's been fun. It's not the easiest technique though and it takes some seriously steady-hand practice. The examples below don't have any light leaks - one step at a time here, folks. Can't wait to try this out more in the future.
