Industrial-Boho Wedding at Zibi

With the increase in popularity of industrial styled weddings, Zibi, a new wedding venue in Ottawa opened just in time this past summer. For Monika & Mike this venue ended up being a perfect fit for their rainy day wedding. Not only is the actual venue space wonderful but they were kind enough to open up an extra space, complete with giant sun roof, for us to be able to take photos out of the rain. The fantastic passed hors d'oeuvres & food stations and charming vintage/boho decor were only surpassed by the wonderful couple themselves.

Backyard Tent Wedding with Turkish Details

Nazli & Craig didn't have to look far when it came to thinking of a place to hold their wedding. With lots of space and beautiful pool area, they decided to hold it in their own backyard. Planning done by the ladies over at Satin & Snow they were able to invite their friends and family over for a wonderful evening of dining by the poolside and dancing under the stars. Nazli was also able to incorporate some Turkish cultural traditions into their day including sprinkling the Blue Evil Eye around the reception tables.

The photo below is of a tradition in Turkish weddings where the names of single friends are written down on the bottom of the shoe, and whosever's is most worn-off by the end of the day will be the next to get married!
