Weddings of 2021

It’s been a while! We’ve been adjusting to parenthood and enjoying time with out little guy, and while it doesn’t show, we also have still been photographing. We are already mid-way into 2022 and we, embarrassingly, have barely shared a single session, wedding or moment of 2021.

The year still had a lot of rules and restrictions, specifically the first half but that did not make any of the events lack the joy and love needed for an amazing day. Instead of trying to catch up on all of our sharing, this will be a round-up of some of our favourite wedding moments of the year.

Intimate Beckta Wedding

Masha & Steve celebrated their fall wedding with a whopping 6 guests in attendance, and it was wonderful! They were able to use one of the private rooms upstairs at Beckta Dining & Wine for both the ceremony and the dinner afterwards. The ceremony was able to involve each guest in attendance with readings, handfasting and a ring warming ceremony. They also wanted to ensure the 3 couples in attendance got their own portraits taken from us. Perhaps you’re in a place where you are considering changing up wedding plans and hopefully this post makes you realize there are certainly some perks to a very small wedding!

Wedding at Ottawa's Experimental Farm

Ottawa may get some flack for being a boring city, but it also has a lot of perks! I wonder how many other cities you can hold a wedding quite central to the city but have that wedding hosted in a barn? Ottawa’s experimental farm/arboretum area is a hot spot for weddings and couples but until this wedding, we hadn’t had the pleasure to capture a wedding inside the Agriculture & Food museum. They had perfect fall weather and with the help of wedding planning company, Bourbon & Bloom, a perfect fall wedding.
